Having recently commissioned our new band saw, we are pleased to announce that with immediate effect; pre-mitred, hip and valley boards are available ex-stock.

The pre-mitred boards will be delivered to site on a specifically marked pallet, factory cut and laid on the pallet ready to install.

This benefits the contractor and project by:

• Reducing time cutting on site
• The factory cut makes for a better finished tapered scheme
• Reduced waste = Money saved and less impact on the environment

All tapered schemes incorporating pre-mitred boards will be clearly marked on tear/waterproof ‘site friendly’ paper.

The London to Paris Bike Ride 2011 is a classic journey and a unique and challenging way of experiencing both the rural and urban sides of England and France while you fundraise along the way – or so Stuart Hepburn joint MD of Building Innovation Limited thought when enlisting to embark on such an adventure.

Comprising of three days of cycling from London, through the rolling Kent countryside, across the channel, along quiet French roads and into the heart of Paris – covering some 300 miles across minor roads and lanes the ride is sure to be no picnic in the park and Stuart, who usually cycles 30 – 50mls in any one session, openly admits it will be a challenge.

Stuart is raising money for Action Medical Research, a great children’s charity dedicated to improving the health of babies and children in the UK. For almost 60 years the charity has been behind numerous breakthroughs such as the UK polio vaccine, ultrasounds scanning in pregnancy and more recently the fetal heart rate monitor a new state-of-the-art device that could help save thousands of at-risk babies.

The ride takes place 20th July – 24^th July 2011 so Stuart will no doubt be spending more time on his bike in preparation.

The drawing office at Building Innovation had great fun this weekend with the maiden voyage of the homemade Cut to Float Boat in preparation to take part in the charity Two Saints Raft Race on the 12th June in Church Lawford.  The Race is a 5km paddle from  St Peter’s Church in Church Lawford and ending at St Margaret’s Church in Wolston.  The money raised from sponsorship will be split between the local Community and the Warwickshire air ambulance.
